EGT took the third place in Kozaro Cup 2020

EGT’s team participated in the one-day tournament Kozaro Cup 2020 which was held on 14.06 in Botevgrad and took the third place in the final ranking. After successfully defeating the local champion and last year’s winner “Murgash Vrachesh” in the quarterfinals, we faced “Sirius” in the semifinals. The teams offered a spectacular and twisted match that ended without a winner and penalties were awarded in which EGT’s team narrowly missed to reach the final and fight for the first place. The match for the third place was won convincingly by EGT against the “Last Hope” team again after penalties.

“I think we played very well and I’m happy with the third place, although we had real chances for the first,” said Nikolay Georgiev, captain of the team. He added that this pаrticipation of EGT at the Kozaro Cup 2020 was one of the most successful ones so far and the players were motivated to perform even better next time.
